Six-time Stanley Cup Champion Mark Messier has long been regarded as one of the greatest leaders in sports history. A true guardian of the game and player advocate, Messier joined forces with Cascade Sports in 2009 to create The Messier Project, a product development and public awareness campaign that aims to address the issue of concussion in the sport of hockey.

Messier has taken an active role in the design and development of the M11, the first product offering of The Messier Project, while leading the charge to make head protection a top priority in the sport and to promote safe play. The Messier Project will enlist the hockey community in an important quest to change priorities in the sport – from the professional level down to youth.
